WTF I was sleeping last night, when I hear that high pitched whine of a mosquito. **** I havent heard that in like 7 years. So Im thinking man it would suck to have it bite me on the forehead, thats the ONLY place I didnt want it to bite me.
Sure enough, my forehead starts itching and BOOM a huge quarter sized swell pops up. Its died down a bit now, but it just looks like a huge pimple, ugh.
Anyone know how to calm it down, any tips appreciated.
a really minty toothpaste helps ease the itching (dead serious)
EDIT: and the less you itch it, the quicker it goes away

It will make it go down.

I battle dozens of mosquitos every day and I don't spend -that- much time outside.
Apply a bandaid to where you got bit, that's what I'd do. It's the only way to cover it up if the swelling won't go down. Just tell people you got cut. Either way, you're going to look incredibly stupid.

If you itch it, it will make it red, making it stand out even worse. My advice would be to drain it if necessary and then forget its existence to the best of your ability.
