Powertec Leg Press
Powertec Leg Press
Anyone have one of these that can fill me in on how they like it? I am thinking about getting one for my home gym but I would like to hear some feedback on it before I shell out the money. Thanks!

I don`t know what part of PA. you are from, but I saw one on craigslist for 300 about a week ago. I think it was Philly or South Nj listing.
i got one last week, so far i really like it. hit's the leg's hard & come's with a calf attachment for calf raises. it's nice & smooth too. the foot plate adjust's & so does the seat back.

How wide of a stance can you take on it and also where you put your feet, do your knees go way over your toes (causing knee pain)?
the base is 25in wide 23 & half in high. so you can move your feet around quite abit. it's worth the $ to me, im really very happy with it so far.
I just ordered it today. We'll see how long it takes for me to get it.
I'll throw up a review after I get it and try it out with some workouts...
On a side note I just painted my dumbbells today! :) I'm just waiting for it to dry and put one last coat on it. They were all rusty from my basement humidity being so high when I first moved into my new house. So I decided to take off the rust, prime them, and then spray paint them black. I'll also let you guys know how that turns out with a review after it's all done and I try it out and see how they look/feel during a workout.
I have one for sale on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=170140282326
But, it is for "pickup" only in South Florida. If anyone is interested, it is in brand-new, perfect condition (it's only a couple of months old). I'm asking $379 but if the buyer bids the "Buy-it-Now" price of $479, I'm including 380 lbs. of plates and a heavy-duty plate rack (also like new). This stuff is barely used. It's an awesome machine but I have a pretty serious injury that will probably require surgery so I won't be able to use it.
Take care.

Take care. So I take it they changed the color of them to grey also? I hate the grey color. I wish they would have kept everything black or gave you a choice what color you wanted on everything. I know they had black, red, yellow, and now grey. They should give you a choice which color you want. That would be sweet.
the one i just got is a black, my lat machine is grey. i just took what i could get...i think i would have liked them yellow

I really hope mine comes in black, but whatever. I don't care either way. I guess the grey would match everything else from them I have since they changed over the colors. I just have 1 black dumbbell rack and bench from them. Those are the only black pieces I have from them but I really liked the black.
I wonder why they changed to grey? Cheaper paint?
What is the highest amount of weights you can put on the leg press (how many 45's can you fit on each side)?
I can get one of these leg presses for $250 here locally. Should I ?
