Ezekiel bread? whole grain?

Ezekiel bread? whole grain?
How bad is bread if you are cutting fat?
I buy supposedly 100% whole grain bread, I think its pepperidge farm or some crap ....but I recently switched to Ezekiel bread...the original one. I only eat about 3-4 pcs a day, sometimes less, occasionally none.
Someone tell me the truth here should I avoid bread altogether? I read it was ok as long as its not crappy bread and that it needs to say 100% whole grain. Then I read most of that is crappy too! I buy bread that has trace amounts of sugar in it and no corn syrup crap, and then I made the switch to Ezekiel. I just want to know what I can eat without sinking my hopes of ever getting cut. What are the guidelines here? I don't want to be spinning my pedals over a sandwich.

Answer:

its fine, and it makes **** all difference if its whole grain.

Answer:

bread is fine.. its calories just like every other carb ur going to put into ur body.. especially eating whole grain/whole wheat its still going to be beneficial to ur body.. and most whole grain / wheat breads only contain about 1g of sugar.. so dont get me wrong ur not going to the extreme
taking in ezekiel is the healthiest thing u can do.. no perservatives/no sugars/ and it tastes great.. i been taking it down all summer..
going back to college its going to be tough on a tight budget so i just eat regular whole wheat bread..
sure its a complex carb, if ur so fearful of it go for more brown rice/sweet potatoes/ oatmeal..
bout the best info i can give you

YAY!!! you guys rock!
I was hoping that would be the answer, its so hard for me to eat clean if I can't have my sammiches!

Answer:

Make sure it's 100% whole wheat. If it says wheat, it's no better than regular white bread. In wheat bread they'll just make it half wheat and fill in the rest with the enriched crap and dye it brown. So make sure it says 100% whole wheat.

but yeah 100% whole wheat is fine for you.. just check the labels.. you can get some good whole wheat breads that yield about 3/4g of protein/fiber per slice! great stuff

Answer:

I eat pepperidge farm WW breads...they're far from crap. Better than that cardboard tasting, 30 calorie ezekial stuff.

how is it's nutrition? ive tried it, and actually love the stuff...i actually prefer ezekiel bread to regular wheat bread though, but only toasted...if you arent gonna toast it, then the above posters are right, it does taste like cardboard haha...but toasted, i personally find that nothing compared to the ezekeil bread...try putting some natty PB on the cinnamon raisin bread...its good stuff.!
