Help to lose body fat.
Im 21 6'4" and weigh 245 pds and want to get down to maybe 205.the online BMI calculator tells me im obese in which i am not. i dont look overweight i dont feel overweight so i dont know why it saying that. im looking into cutting down my bodyweight and fat % without cutting off all my muscle size. I currently have been lifting to increase size and strength but would like to get my bf% down first.I have cut back on what foods i eat.I eat alot of lean meats like chicken and beef. I am trying to keep protein high to limit muscle loss. Is this the correct way to do it?if anyone wants to point me in the right direction on a diet and workout set-up to limit muscle loss thatd be great.
Right now i am lifting 5 days a week. I have been off sugars and soda for a month now. I was taking NO and creatine(have currently stopped i have a feeling alot of my wieght is water weight from creatine) along with isolated proteins and aminos. I am looking to cut my body fat down so i can start over with a clean bulk. What kind of foods should i be eating in accordance with my lifting schedule. I am currently on this schedule which is soon about to change. I do HIIT 2 days a week after my lifting and the other 2 days i run treadmill for about 3 miles or do stair steps. I dont do any running leg days.
Mon- Chest/Tris
Tues-Back/Bis
Wed-Shoulders/Traps
Thurs-Legs
Friday-Chest again
this is what i look like now. Im a bigger framed guy so is 205 a safe weight for me to start bulking at?

Answer:

bulk up
I think you should bulk up little more. develop your arms and chest first. after that you should start cutting.
for now you can cut and bulk at the same time
start with cardio. each work out day for 15 min. high intensity
then do heavy weights but lot of reps. one body part each day.
then do 1 hour cardio after lifting weights. low intensity
do this for a week or two. see if you like it or not. if you don't see any result then change your plan.
you don't look overweight at all. if you maintain your diet. you will see the results very quickly. just stay motivated. and good luck

Answer:

I doubt you'll see results in 1-2 weeks... maybe, but don't get discouraged if you don't.
If I were in your position I would bulk up CLEANLY as to reduce fat gains, and then cut.
Cutting will be easier this way, and you'll have more muscle = more definition.
As far as the creatine goes, you're sure to be getting enough water?

Answer:

so i shouldnt try to cut first? i know im not overweight. thats just what the bmi told me. i will do a search on clean bulking. that is my main goal but i dont wanna put on anymore body fat.
i know im getting enough water as i drink minimum of a gallon and a half throughout the day depending on workouts and such.

Answer:

You don't look 245. I don't mean to be rude, but I seriously call BS on that.
You look 210-215. At most.
But if you are, then cut to like 225 at most. Unless your legs are holding tons of fat.
As said, heavy compound lifts. Fill out your chest, back, legs, and arms first or else you'll get skinny fat.
Edit: dude, BMI is a joke. Check your body fat % instead . I'll guess you around 15-17, but it's hard to tell.

Answer:

yea man, 245 pounds? geez, i look around 20-210 mark. i am 200 pounds now, and i got a way bbigger gut than urs.

Answer:

no i am 245. i weighed today at work. i work at a doctors office and i have a scan done on the machine tha does body fat bone density tests. that told me i am 28% body fat. my legs arent big either thats why im confused. the bmi i was just messing around with on some website.like i know i have a layer of fat of my stomach

Upper body as well.
edit: if you dont know, body fat % is a ratio of lean weight (organs, water, muscle etc) to fat weight. If you don't have enough muscle, you're "skinny fat". Not the fattest figure, but flabby.

Not the fattest figure, but flabby. so with that being said say the creatine is making me retain to much water will that make my body fat % higher or lower. cause i have noticed my body is trying to push out alot more water than normal via sweating alot and im not peeing as much as i was when i first started drinking alot of water. i know thats the whole purpose behind the creatine but could it be cause to much water retention thus the weight too. I dont get on the scale often but was very surprised to see that i weighed 245.
so explain skinny fat to me. i looked it up and found some stuff on it. i dont appear to be fat at all.
