US Airways lost my baggage. What can I do?
I flew from europe to PA on sunday.
One of my suitcases [loaded w/ valuable stuff] got lost at Philly airport.
Ifiled a lost baggage claim when I arrived at my final destination [state college]
Now it's Wednesday and still no suitcase.
What can I do?
man that sucks. I dunno what your options are, i've never had luggage lost. Talk to the airline, or go to their website- find out their policy on lost baggage. Know all you can before you decide what to do. I really don't know what your options are, but you need to find out exactly what that airlines policy is regarding lost baggage.
Also try to make a list of what was lost in the luggage before you forget. If you have any proof of what was in there, collect it. But even if not, make a list.
file a claim with the luggage dept at the airport...I believe you have some sort of coverage
Unfortunately they'll only give you about $200.00 for a lost bag if they never recover it. It doesn't matter the worth of the contents.
