No Carb Day - How Many Carbs Is A Reasonable Amount To Get Away With?
Whilst on a Carb cycling diet, on the NO CARB DAYS obviously some carbs come from sources such as whey protein from the shakes or salads for example when havin a salad for dinner or veggies. my question is...although it is a NO CARB DAY how many grams of carbs would be considered a NO CARB DAY? I have got it to roughly 13 grams with 2 meals still to bring into my diet on a no carb day. Is this ok or too much?
I normally get around 50gm on a no carb day. All of those being only trace carbs.
I started off at under 90g (I weigh around 200 lbs). As I've gotten more used to the 'no carb' days, I go lower sometimes. It also depends on if I do HIIT or something similar that day. On the low carb days I do 180g, and on the high carb days I do 250+

It depends on what your trying to do, as well as your protien and fat consumption in relation to your total caloric intake.

what i was doing before worked well but i know that it won't get me below 10%
Thanks for the responses guys, so I guess I'm ok at around 13 grams with 2 meals to plan in as these meals will be a tuna salad meal around 10.30AM and a meal around 8.00PM consisting of fish source (maybe grilled COD) with a little low fat cottage cheese, this will be my last meal of the day. My full plan for a no carb day would then roughly look like this.....
6.30 AM - 45 MINS CARDIO + ABS WORK
8.00 AM - BREAKFAST - EGG WHITES / WHEY PROTEIN SHAKE 1 SERVING
10.30 AM - SNACK 1 - TUNA SALAD MEAL
13.00 PM - LUNCH - CHICKEN SALAD MEAL
15.30 PM - SNACK 2 - WHEY PROTEIN SHAKE 1 SERVING
18.00 PM - BEEF - SILVERSIDE / VEG - BROCOLLI
20.30 PM - COD FISH MEAL WITH LOW FAT COTTAGE CHEESE
Roughly shooting for 231 grams protein and 40 grams fat on this day.
Carbs will probably end up around under 20 grams.
Does this sound like a decent plan for a no carb day?
