thanks guys. Bulking or cutting the whole egg is about the best food your ever going to eat, period. Saying that you still need to fit them in your diet, which may result in taking out the odd yolk here and there.
The healthiest way to cook an egg is maintaining the runniness of the yolk....in other words, don't cook the yolk. I still love hard boiled though. Poached is again one of my favourite ways to cook an egg, with soft boiled coming in a close 2nd.

Answer:

Mix them in with your shake, raw.

Answer:

Go with what Arnold says. Personally I eat three whole eggs per morning scrambled in pam

U get the best of both worlds w/ the white just barely cooked, the yolk still runny or "weich" on my Krups egg cooker! That way u get the full protein content of the white & don't degrade the micronutrients in the yolk.

Answer:

i usually have 4 eggs and use the whites only for 2-3 of them and use the whites and yolk from the others. the yolk has more cholesterol and nutrients than the whites, so it is good to eat one or two, but the egg whites have more protein and less fat. here's a comparison btwn the two (measurements are for 1 lrg, raw egg:
Nutrient White Yolk
Fat 0.06g 4.41g
Protein 3.6g 2.63g
Iron .03mg .4mg
Calciuim 2.3mg 21 mg
Cals 17 53

And especially now with the organic micro farmed eggs available with omega 3's in them. Again it's all about individual goals with variety and moderation in mind IMO.

Answer:

if i see another damn egg thread,
you can eat the yolk, to cut down on CALORIES you may want to remove a few of them.
you are not arnold.

Answer:

Why soft yolks? I really dont like them soft but love them hard.

Answer:

Why soft yolks? I really dont like them soft but love them hard. When you cook the yolk, you actually oxidize the cholesterol, which is a no no because it negatively effects your LDL. Powdered milk products do the same.

I question this theory a lot - I've been scrambling my eggs for years (2 yolks per day) and my cholestrol is fine. Perhaps it makes more of a difference in higher amounts?

I hear ya....it does oxidized and effect LDL.......but in the average NA diet it's a small notation at best. if your eating properly I wouldn't worry very much, I eat scambled all the time as well, and hard boiled. But in the perfect world, you don't want to cook the yolk. ;)

Answer:

fried eggs are great. Egg white gets cooked. Yolk stays liquidy (most of it).
Fry it in Olive Oil! Much better than butter or sprays IMO.

Answer:

I usually throw away the egg whites and eat just the yolks ;)

Answer:

I have 2-3 whole eggs along with 3-4 egg whites every morning. I just ditch the yolk in a few so I can get more protein and carbs in since I eat my carbs mostly at breakfast and around my workouts. You should have at least 1 whole egg though, the yolk is where all the yummy goodness is :)

Answer:

I always have the whole egg since I average only about 2 eggs a day. The yolk contains plenty of nutrients and should always be eaten. The BV of an whole egg is 100 whereas egg whites are 88. I suppose soft-boiled eggs or poached would be the "healthiest" way of cooking it since no there are no added fats. However, omelettes are my favourite and I make them using a non-stick skillet and cooking spray.

Answer:

Anyone care about the taste? Personally, with out the yolk, they tase kinda bland to me.

Answer:

i just add some cajun pepper for taste to my egg whites.

Answer:

i just add some cajun pepper for taste to my egg whites. people also add their other fav condiments such as salsa, ketchup, mustard, cinnamon, splenda.. etc etc.. ive ever heard of cocoa powder.. its really up to you
you could also buy liquid egg whites and make a shake with them adding the same stuff above or adding healthy oils.. up to you

Answer:

You can actually drink those liquid egg whites they sell at the stores in those cartons? I thought those were for cooking purposes?

Answer:

you could mix it up. Have 5 egg whites and one whole egg.
If you are looking to cut weight, then just eat the egg whites, but the yolk has natural amino acids in it that are essential for muscle growth.

Answer:

egg yolk is very nutritious
both white and yolk have unique nutritional qualities
sure eating the whole egg has more calories
assuming you factor that into your cal budget and come up in a deficit of cals it would be fine to consume whole egg during weight loss
i speak extensively about this subject matter in my new book coming soon
Knowledge and Nonsense: the science of nutrition and exercise

Answer:

I'm cutting however i eat two or three whole eggs soft boiled almost every morning when I'm not running late. Soft boiled eggs rule, i love barely cracking the shell then with a small spoon running it around the inside of the egg so it becomes completely loose and then adding a bit of salt and salt&pepper and a bit of ketchup and taking the egg like a shot. Also my diet has changed so dramatically that the extra calories from eating the whole egg haven't had a bad effect on me while still losing weight.
