got stung by something today...advice/reps(no pic sorry)
Ok, I was at my favorite place in the world today(underneath a bridge nearby my house that has a brooke/small river running under it) with my pitbull and my parents little hotdog dog(I tried spelling doxson...but i know it isnt right and plenty of silent letters so hotdog dog wins).
the little hotdog dog decides he doesn't want to listen any more and he takes off.
I go sprinting after him...up a 10 foot wall of rocks.
as I go to jump off the top rock to see where the little bastard went, a HUGE swarm of bee looking things started to buzz pretty loud so I would know they were there(hole in the ground...not normal beehive/wasp hive type thing). I slowly moved to the side so I wouldn't piss them off but it was too late...5 quick stings in about 2 seconds.
None of them hurt too badly except one on my left thumb. I pulled the stinger out, found the dog and went home.
My finger started to swell immediatly so i iced it and took some aleve.
Throughout the day my hand was swollen to about 2x its normal size. First my finger began to swell, then my front palm, and then finally everything looked normal except the back of my hand. It is STILL swollen 14 hours later...however its got this spongy consistancy to it that I've never seen before. If i press down on the swollen hand, the indent stays there for 5-15 seconds like its a sealy posturpedic or some crap...what gives? do i get teh aids from some random african killer attack bee?
cliffs:
got stung by a bee looking thing(smaller than any bee I'd ever seen before...but yellow and black...i think, I'm color blind)
1 out of 5 stings hurt
1 sting began to swell(left hand)
entire palm was swollen...but now back of my hand is swollen(14 hours later)
so puffy that if you press the tissue, it remains depressed for about 5-15 seconds.
any ideas?
This exact thing happened to my best friend last weekend.
1. You're allergic to the stings.
2. Go to Urgent care tomorrow. You will get a pack of prednisone (steroid--no, it won't help you bulk) and possibly an antibiotic.
3. The prednisone will bring down the swelling.
4. Buy an epi-pen and keep it handy.
sounds like ur allergic. My mom is as well. She has some type of medicine for it but i think benedryl can also be used in a quick fix. Might want to google Bee alergies.
Benadryl is handy for a first-response medication, but once you're at the clown-hand stage, you need something with a lot more oomph.
see i started to get the feeling that it was an allergic reaction but then these thoughts stucks out in my head...
I have suffered about 30-50 bee stings in my life, never with an allergic reaction(when i was 2-3 years old I was attacked by an entire swarm of wasps and barely made it out alive with about 20-25 stings. Doctors said much more wouldve easily left me poisoned/dying)
None of the other stings gave me so much as a 2nd thought...I can barely feel any of them.
baking soda and deoderant (serious)
I can't remember if that stops the pain or helps the swelling but all I was allergic to bees when i was younger (hopefully i'm not anymore) and the doctor once told me to use deoderant on it

Benadryl is handy for a first-response medication, but once you're at the clown-hand stage, you need something with a lot more oomph. i just got stung by a hornet and my mom said to take that. And she like you, seems to be an expert on bee stings lol.

None of the other stings gave me so much as a 2nd thought...I can barely feel any of them. Yeah i just got stung by a hornet while clearing out a nest and it left a pretty good size welt on my arm. Dunno why as ive been stung by wasp and such many times in my life. Its nearly gone now (2 days later)
baking soda and deoderant (serious)
I can't remember if that stops the pain or helps the swelling but all I was allergic to bees when i was younger (hopefully i'm not anymore) and the doctor once told me to use deoderant on it baking soda ftw...
i made a nice paste with baking soda and soaked in it for about an hour...
i didn't mention that because everyone looks at me like im nuts when i tell them it helps bee stings.
the main reason I'm a little nervous is because these thigns didnt look like normal bees.
they were much smaller than your average wasp, and appeared to not be that vicious of a bee(5 out of about 200 came after me...then left me alone once I stopped moving).
I wish I was able to make out their colors a little better so i could figure out wtf they were
Allergies change over time...You may want to see an MD Yep, they sure do, and a LOT of people develop them later in life.
Seriously, go to a doctor ASAP. You don't need to go to the ER, but find a clinic tomorrow and get in there (most urgent cares open at about 9am on weekends, at least they do here). When my friend had her stings, she had already developed an infection from the swelling after a couple days. They gave her prednisone and an antibiotic and the swelling was gone in two days.
i just got stung by a hornet and my mom said to take that. And she like you, seems to be an expert on bee stings lol. Well, it's just a coincidence that my friend had this exact thing happen to her just last weekend, so I'm just repeating the treatment she received.
I was on prednisone for hives, not bees, nyuk nyuk. Shit works great. Some of the side effects of long-term use are suckalicious but for this kind of thing, they just put you on a 4- or 5-day pack and you don't really see side effects.

2. Go to Urgent care tomorrow. You will get a pack of prednisone (steroid--no, it won't help you bulk) and possibly an antibiotic. LMAO - yeah gotta remind them that not all steriods are for bulking
BBBBBBBBWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
agreed though you gotta go to the ER coz you could go into anaphylactic shock but as the reaction seems slow it's more than lightly not going to happen but I thought I would just let you know for future referance
btw....(not you limniade) it's a dauschund but hotdog dog is just a good :D
maybe you should look online for some bee pictures to be able to bring into the doc's office with you...
Yea, my dad developed some nice clown hands when we were chopping up some centipedes in hawaii and he got bit by one. I think they sell over-the-counter anti-inflammatories for such bites. Might wanna check with your local pharmacy first and then a doc if necessary.
prednisone interfer with superdrol/boldenone?
i'm thinking it will.
if thats the case...
ehh screw my hand, i'm a righty any way :D
baking soda ftw...

You can ask. A brief Google search comes to the tentative conclusion that it does. yea...ive read multiple studies that show corticosteroids do infact interfer with anabolics.
ill take some benadryl in the morning/keep icing it...as long as the "spongyness" goes away, I wont really be worried.
its just crazy looking to see an indent stay for so long.
Dude you got stung by the rare species Celtechstingus Muscletechious it consumes large amounts of Celltech and stings you when you threaten it's hive filled with Celltech.
