when to eat meals, carbs, protein etc?
ok so i had a health nut roomate who told me that i should have a protein shake right after my work out...then 30 minutes later that i should have a meal such as chicken with white rice....i know brown rice is better but is white rice better after a workout or was he wrong?
also i take a protein shake right before bed, first thing in the morning, randomly throughout the day...and usually about 1.5 hours before lifting?
any recommendations? ideas?

Answer:

Take the shake right after you workout then the meal like he said. I prefer brown rice but white does work also post work out. You could also have a shake when you wake up and half an hour (not hour and a half) before you work out but these two arent needed. I dont recommend the protein shake before bed, have cottage cheese before bed.
