I have come to the following conclusion after observing the correlation between thread responses and thread views throughout the years that I have been present:
<10% response rate = disappointment is experienced by thread viewer. dont bother opening.
10% response rate = thread is ok. its ok to enter.
>10% response rate = the thread viewer is pleased. i would suggest you get in there asap.
I have not come to a conclusion as far as the rate of response is concerned over x amount of time. The given guidelines is a guesstimate that I have observed over the average lifespan of an average thread.
