40lbs. lost in 2 and a half months (pics)
Well today is the 40 lbs. lost mark so I figured I would post some pics. My goal when I started was 60 lbs. in 5 months, which I feel I am well on track to exceed. My question now is how much more should I lose? Another 20 lbs.? Sounds about right to me. Thoughts? Suggestions?

EDIT: forgot to add... starting out i was 220.5 lbs (May 27th, 2007), now I'm down to 180.5 lbs (August 14th, 2007). Duh, I knew I was forgetting something.
Great job! ur no longer a little piglet lol j/k... i think in 3 months more you will have a six pack man! keep up the good work! I see great improvement!
hmm
Well I wouldn't call that healthy by any means, but I will say congrats :)
I would recommend you try doing some ab work because losing that fast will leave a lot of loose skin so you need to tighten that up. Also some weight lifting wont hurt. It might even speed up your fat loss a bit. Great job and Im rooting for it to stay off.

Money is a little tight right now, but in a few weeks I should be able to join a gym and get going on that. I completely agree. For now I've been doing pushups, chinups, and crunches. Better than nothing I suppose.
40lbs in 2.5 months? That sounds a little fast to be loseing that much weight in a health way. The average healthy weight loss per week is about 2lbs, so in 2.5 months you should have lost somewhere between 20-24 lbs. But, it does look like in your before pictures that you could have gone beyond the average. Keep up the good work and stay healthy. Remember crash dieting is hurting your body just as much as over eating. Take care and good luck with your workouts.
Agreed that was alittle too fast. try and keep the next 20 lbs slower. two months no sooner. other then that! good job!
Wow really fast weight loss. Hope your body didn't become nutritionally imbalanced often. I'd def say to slow it down for the next 20lbs too. Great job though loosing that weight.
Nice! How'd you do it? :D
time to bulK!

Have you kept track of your lean mass and fat percentage as well? I'm wishing you the best as you continue your journey towards fitness. Be safe, train hard, and transform smart. I can't wait to see your new update photos. :)
awesome job man great weight loss
Amazing job dude - I lost the same amount almost, but not as toned as you're getting.
Thanks for the complements guys, I apprciate it.
Nice! How'd you do it? :D On average I eat about 1200-1500 calories a day and split it up between 5-6 small meals a day. I've been told that this is far too little and I'm technically starving myself, but I honestly don't feel like I'm eating too little. I'm really never that hungry. When I was 17 years old I used to starve myself for 1-2 days at a time and believe me when I say I know what it feels like to be STARVING. I remember the constant dizziness, weakness, feeling like I was sick, and intense hunger pains even for foods I didn't like. I haven't felt ANY of that not once in the past 2 and a half months. I feel like my metabolism still sucks to this day because of how poorly I was treating it for 2-3 years.
So of those calories I try to make each of my meals a mixup between carbs and protein.
Examples...
- oatmeal with egg beaters
- 93% lean ground beef with a couple of slices of wheat toast
- baked chicken with a potato sliced up and baked in the oven
- A sliced apple and peach with egg beaters
- baked turkey on toasted wheat bread
And CRAPLOADS of water. I'm constantly running to the bathroom.
For cardio (5-6 days per week) I do 8 laps around the track, only I sprint the straight parts and very slowly jog the turns. This comes out to be 16 100-yard sprints. And I also jog an additional 2 laps for a warm up once I get there, then stretch afterwards.
For resistance I do crunches, chinups, and pushups. I currently don't have the option to join a gym right now because I just moved from FL to NY and money is a little tight, but this will change within the next week or so.
Damn man, that was fast as hell, i need to loose 40 pounds too, but i think 3 months is good minimum man!!!
