Get a Certified Pre-Owned Car w/ 70k miles or a non-CPO car with 30k miles?
Get a Certified Pre-Owned Car w/ 70k miles or a non-CPO car with 30k miles?
That's basically it.
Both are around 12,800.00... but one is a 2003 LX Civic Coupe, 2 door with 68,000 miles. The CPO is 1 year, 12k miles bumper to bumper.
The other is a 2004 Civic Coupe EX, 2 door with 33,000.00 -- but the dealer offers lifetime maintenance up to a specific value... like 15.00 dollars on an oil change, etc, etc...

12k miles goes by quick Repped. That's what I was thinking. Civics are reliable vehicles.
I've seen '05 civic sedans and coupes sell for $10-12k
but looks like you're buying from dealers only
I've seen '05 civic sedans and coupes sell for $10-12k
but looks like you're buying from dealers only I'm in New England (Boston & Providence)... finding a Coupe & Sedan of Civic is RARE around here ('05) with decent mileage for 10-12k.
Market here is demanding.
ohh, i thought you were in the U.S.
wouldn't be cheaper to get a domestic?
You could also purchase a third party extended warranty for the 04.
They can run fairly high but mine was definitely worth it. I bought one from warranty direct for my 99 blazer 5 years ago, it was roughly $2600 but it paid for itself twice over that 5 years.

get a 2000-2002 bimmer 3 series...can get one for about the same price, and it gets more respect on the road than a civic
get a 2000-2002 bimmer 3 series...can get one for about the same price, and it gets more respect on the road than a civic Gets more time in the shop too, provided you don't spend a large amount of money on just yearly maintenance.

I'm going to try to haggle the 2004 civic w/ 33k miles down to 12,500.00 - otherwise I guess I'm taking it for 12,800.00

LX is better than EX...but LX also has more miles. Hows the condition on the exterior/interior?

A high mileage luxury car is one of the worst purchases you can make. mine has 112k on the clock and runs perfect...all i had to do was put a new clutch in, but other than that it runs perfectly, and will run perfectly up to and beyond 200k(provided routine maintenence is kept up with)
low mileage one for sure
LOL x2
non cert, then take it to a mechanic and he'll check it for like 100 bucks. You'll save like 40k milez, son, end threadz
