Do they count the bar?
Do they count the bar?
Hi, i've never followed strongman/body bulder competitions...or actually have witnessed one...but my question is, do they include the bar into the total weight when performing the exercise?
I dont think so.
Most bars weigh 35 pounds i think. but any excersize its only the actual plates that get counted for total weight.
I dont think so.

Would assume they do count the bar since it is still part of the weight they are lifting. Like at the NFL combine, when they do the rep test of 225 pounds, it's just the two 45's on each side, not additional weight to achieve 225 without the bar included....then again, that example is the NFL.
wow what a stupid question..
so let me ask you this
when you are benching just the bar, are you really benching 45 pounds? think before you post
