im a jc transfer and im goin down to a univ by myself, so there was no way to get an apartment, so my parents told me to live on campus, which i thought is cool, havent experienced that dorm room college experience. but the only thing that is trippin me out is that, are the girls going to think im weird since im like 3 yrs older then them? i can careless hanging out with 18-19 year olds, im just there to go to school and have fun, party, live life to the fullest, do as much as i could do before its too late.
I dont think so, my first roommate at college was a 22 year old freshmen. age really doesnt matter at college unless you are significantly older then everyone else. there was a 36 year old grad student on my floor too, but i would feel akward living in the dorms at that age.
They won't think you are the weird guy unless you really are.
There was a 26 year old dude in my dorm and a 21 year old guy. both didn't drink, and avoided social situations they were kind of weird. None of the girls made fun of them or anything just said 'he seems nice.' none of the girls ever really knew them.
But if you make the effort to meet people in the dorm including girls no ones gonna give a shit if you're 21. BUT...a lot of people will want u to buy them alcohol.
ya, plus i could pass for a 18-19 year old guy, i look much younger than i really am.

carefull with buying alcohol for minors...If they get in a car wreck and die or kill someone else you could be charged as an accessory...just sayin' not the best idea unless you will be drinking with them.
I was a freshman last year. From what I know i would say it doesnt matter at all dude. 21 isn't even that much older. the girls are going to be SEARCHING for 21 year old guys at parties because they like hanging out with older guys. And guess what, you're already right there!
if you were 26 or something different story, but you're just 21 man if anything I would think you might have to watch out for people in the dorm hanging out with you just because you're 21 lol

Im 20 but i couldnt get into the schools dorms so i live off campus with 4 chicks and got a pretty nice setup i only have to share a bathroom/fridge with 1 of the women and shes pretty cool and hot :D
point is college is all about experiencing and guess what if the place you stay sucks then just tough it out and next year change how you are living.
