bodysolid or bodycraft rack
bodysolid or bodycraft rack
I've finally decided to pull the trigger on a power rack. Bs and Bc are the only two lines found in the city where I live. I'm debating between the two. I like the fact that you can do dips on the BC, however, unless I'm mistaken, I don't think the safeties can be removed so that your bar could be set right on the floor. With the BS rack the safeties can be removed but no dip attachment. It seems weird to me that when a company like BS designs a rack they wouldn't develop a dip attachment for it. It seems to be a simple enough concept (just like the powertec idea). Any input on the pros and cons of each rack would be appreciated.
PS. Once I finally decide on the rack I can then start in on the next big decision - a bench to go with it! My local BC guy doesn't carry the 320. He says it's junk compared to the big one. I would have liked to try out that 320. I like to have my feet flat on the floor and with that big BC one, I have to put my feet on that horseshoe base. I don't care about any leg attachments either.
Thanks for your help.
If you order online it doesn't really matter where you live (presuming you're in the US)...so that would make Powertec an option?
Is the body solid rack the GPR378 model? That one looks heavy duty.
What would you be doing inside the cage that it would be important to have the safeties removed so you could put the bar on the floor? You could likely just set them really high so they are out of the way, or just work outside the cage. I'm not sure what benefit there is of being inside it if you aren't using the safeties anyways.
