Goin to job fair, what to wear?
I've never been to a job fair before, rather just a one-on-one interview in which i dressed pretty nicely. I was wondering how i need to be dressed to the job fair. I don't wanna wear slacks and a dress shirt while everyone is in shorts and a t-shirt. Thanks
You'll be talking to potential employers - dress to impress, seriously.
yup, every job fair i've ever been to its suits for almost everyone....
Well i'm gonna try to apply for the Nike store, and adidas store. They will be doin interviews on the spot, what should i wear?
. I don't wanna wear slacks and a dress shirt while everyone is in shorts and a t-shirt. Thanks Separating yourself from your peers is one of the keys to success in life my friend. If everyone is wearing the same clothes but you're dressed a bit more sharp, who do you think the recruiters are going to remember when it comes time for interviews or hiring?

You need to wear slacks and tie at a minimum. Dress for a job fair like you would dress for an interview. If you treat it like an interview you will get a call back for an interview.
I would never go to an interview without wearing a suit regardless of it being for walmart or CEO of Microsoft

I've had a few interviews on the spot from job fairs and dressed up like I were on the real thing.
i would wear a bb.com shirt
when it comes to a job fair, you really only have one decision: to either wear a suit jacket or not...
slacks+tie+dress shoes is required...if you expect to apply to jobs where you would be wearing a suit every day, then wear a jacket...

Thanks I didn't have a suit last year, I wore some nice pants, a shirt and tie and a northface fleece (it was cold). I got 2 job offers from the fair (I'm sitting at one of them right now) so you don't NEED to wear a suit. Most of the employers won't be in suits anyways so I'd go business casual.
Smart casual at least. I wouldn't go suit though for a careers fair or whatever but thats just my opinion.
It's always better to over-dress then to under-dress. Suit up!
Yeah I didn't realize what kind of fair you were talking about, if its a career fair go suit, just a job fair for retail jobs you won't be at more than a year go business casual, maybe slacks+tie, should be fine.
