Glass of rum?

Glass of rum?
I have been having about 4 or 5 oz of light rum a night. I know it's not proactive, but at 195 pounds I figure It has little effect on my gains. Thoughts?

I'm not opposed to a few drinks every now and then, but 4-5 oz. EVERY NIGHT is definitely not a good move.

Just like "other goodies", it has empty cals, but worst of all it f*cks up your testosterone levels, which they won't. Have the occasional cheat and the occasional drink, but you can't be doing stuff like that every day if you really wanna be in peak condition.

There was a study on test levels and alcohol. Long story short, it drops your natural test levels by at least 30%. It is hard to not drink, I know. Seeing all of your friends down 2-3 beers at parties is counterproductive.

have 2 0z a night or one drink. its recommended that you have a common serving of alcohol a day. usually they mean wine or dark beer but your fine man. make sure you mix it with something sugar free

Just have a beer...you get like 12 ounces instead of 4 and its not as bad for you (less alcohol content).
....or just skip the alcohol altogether and let yourself indulge in one night of fun and drinking once per month.
I don't touch alcohol more than once per month but on that one night out of each month I get pretty drunk and have a GREAT time...I like this because the infrequent consumption keeps my alcohol tolerance low so I don't have to drink too much in order to start feeling buzzed.

thanks for the input, To me, and the way I used to drink this is nothing but it's all point of view. We all now it's not healthy, but to some it seems fine to others Im a "borderline alcoholic". Im tryn cut back or find a replacment thanks....

By definition, consuming 5 or more drinks in one sitting is binge drinking. You should probably try and cut that back, at least cut it down to only a few days a week, every night is a bit much. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, hell, when I was in college I majored in binge drinking, but if your drinking like that every night maybe there is something more going on besides treating it as your cheat me......just sayin.
