I picked one up for my apartment. 26 inch (yes, 26 inches!) HDTV for 430 bucks! This TV is the STUFF!

Element. It got really good reviews on Circuit City's website.

Pretty good deal although it didnt rank that great for sound quality. Ranked pretty for picture quality. Great price though.

cheapest TV with best picture u can get is the Olevia brand. they have it a circuit city and ranked among the best by consumer reports.

Circuit City has surprisingly good deals. 2 weeks ago I got a 32'' Samsung LCD and an Upconverting Samsung DVD Player for $980. The original price of the TV was $1300. I know there are cheaper TV's out there, there are some significant differences between a cheap LCD TV and a Samsung/Sharp/Sony/Panasonic TV.
Walmart has some good prices on LCDs as well.
The nicest ones are Samsung, and they have a generic brand as well...Envision or somethign like that.
RCA, Polaroid, and Phillips are among other brands which you will find at WalMart.
I am close to buying one myself...but everyone looks very choppy and pixelated. Do any of them have above average response times?

I know there are cheaper TV's out there, there are some significant differences between a cheap LCD TV and a Samsung/Sharp/Sony/Panasonic TV. Very good price.

I am close to buying one myself...but everyone looks very choppy and pixelated. Do any of them have above average response times? It depends a lot on the signal hooked up to the TV. If it is hooked up to a regular cable connection, the picture won't look any better than it is on a regular TV. In fact, it might be a tad worse.
