So I travel for my job and for the past three months I have flown to Omaha NE. Now today Delta lost my bag and they can't find it. They have no idea where it is at, and of course all of my clothes, gym and supp's are in that bag. I had called and the bright light blulb on the other end of the phone tells me that 95% of the bags are found in the first 24 hours while the other 98% are found within 36 and the rest may take up to four days. I cannot beleive with all the security we have that can't find a bag. Well hopefully I will get a phone call sometime on Tuesday saying that they at least have found my bag.
I feel your pain brother, I have to travel with my job as well and got to the point where I carry on everything! You cant trust those people to actually move the bag from one spot to another without loosing them. I cant believe how often bags get lost.
I hope they find it soon.
I've had this happen to me on a couple occasions, and they have always found my bag.
I know how bad it sucks, but try to be patient if you can.
Last time I went to europe Delta lost my bag, I got it back 2 weeks later....
so there still is hope for your bag bro... lol
Thanks, I think that I am going to start carrying everything with me. I was going to but never have had a problem, well except for today. I travel every monday so I guess it was about time.
delta is ghetto as sh*t. my g/f and i went to cozumel a couple of weeks back, they couldnt get a gate for us to park at atlanta(their main hub), the lost both of our bags and we didnt get them for a couple of days later.

me to dude, have you started training yet? College starts next Monday..we start flying 2 weeks after that. I'm in the Mesa Airlines Pilot Development program at ASU. I'm just gonna go to Mesa to get my hours up then off to American Eagle for better pay lol.
Just carry on. No reason you have to pack five pound tubs around with you. Measure out what you use in a week and just take that. Take a few less clothes and wash your clothes during the week.

tell them you had some weapons-grade plutonium in the bag. between them and the FBI it will be found in a matter of minutes. When they ask you about the plutonium, deny you ever said that.

I dislike both American and Delta, I have never had an uneventful flight with them.
AMR is so slow and almost always late/ delayed, mechanical problem, lost luggage (once), just the other day it took over an hour and a half to get checked luggage from the plane to the pickup belt. Seats blow major, uncomfortable as hell on those POS super 80's.
Delta is just as bad, late, and poor seating.
Frontier, and Southwest, with southwest being my favorite airline to fly. Southwest has only been delayed ONCE since I flew them, but made it up in flight time. No BS pricing, cheap, good service, comfortable seating, quick bag pickup etc.

Well it's now day two and they still don't know where it is at. They told me that they would pay me $25.00 a day for the first five days that they can't find it. I thought how nice of them I mean you can really go and buy some nice bus. casual work clothes for 25.00

Delta seems to lose more baggage than anyone else...i swear...my dads luggage was lost for 3 days and he didnt have any cloths to drive back from alaska with....so he had to buy new ones
Also when i flew with them....they lost my military gear...like sleepin system and gortex jacket and pants.....and they actually never found it at all....i had to go through a 8 month process with these fckers....i was so pissed off....

You would think that at least some one one person in the whole company would give a $@#! about customer service. Pretty much was told I am out of luck and that I quote "I need to do what I have to do" what a great company. I will make sure that I book all of my flights with you.
Yea sometimes the worlds largest hub gets a little busy... its not the worlds largest hub airport. we waited for 30 minutes on the tarmac before we could connect to our gate. a good majority of the people missed connecting flights because of it.
I think hell just froze over, Delta returned my bag to me an hour before I was leaving omaha for the week to return home. When I got to the counter the lady who was fully aware of what was going on said would you like me to check that for you? Are you stupid or just dumb! I think I will carry it on. But I am happy to have my stuff back, I think on Monday when I fly out I will be carrying it on as well.
