HIIT : popped my cherry
I officially started my HIIT programme as of today.
On the 400m track it consisted of:
400m warm up low/medium intensity
100m high/maximum intensity
300m medium intensity
100m high/maxiumum intensity
300m medium intensity
... and so on.
I did this for 15 minutes, although nearer the end my 300 medium intensity jogs turned into fast walks.
I was absolutely FINISHED, my mouth was dry, my legs like jelly, hands trembling, heart racing and sweating like no other.
All in all though, it was a fantastic workout. I plan to do this twice a week on my off days aswell as medium intensity cardio after 2 of my weight training days.
Hopefully I'll see my results improve.
