I'm confused

I'm confused
I have increased what I have been eating and I've have gotten a bit stronger but it feels like I hit my limit on how much I can lift. I have been doing the 5x5 and also doing lighter weight/higher reps on some days.
Also, when I look at myself in the mirror I feel like I am getting fat and developing a gut. I tell my mom and dad this and they say it's all in my head and it's the best I've looked in years. Can I get some opinions?

More importantly, what is your BF% doing. Invest in some calipers/measuring tape. Calipers aren't 100% accurate by any means, but can serve as a decent measure of progress.

what is your BF%? how much has it changed? are you on creatine and holding water weight? I am taking creatine and I may be holding water weight. As for my BF%, I don't know it but I can see my upper abs but my lower abs are not visible.
