Quitting tobacco use today (suggestions)
I've been dipping/chewing/smoking for about a year, and I decided last week that come monday im gonna stop. Dont have the money for nicorete, any suggestions on how to make the withdrawls easier? I was a light user, but I know I will get them regardless.
I thought about getting that taboca stuff and perhaps only poppin one of those when i really hurt (like at work and stuff)
any comments/suggestions appreciated

Sunflower seeds seem to help, or chew on something all the time, like a tooth pick, straw, etc.

Nothing's worse than sitting around with nothing to keep your mind off the cravings.
i dipped for a few weeks pretty often and then i made a deal that i would only dip on saturdays. Then after after a few weeks i threw a dapper in on saturday and was so disgutsed by it that i barfed and quit

I know, which is why I decided im stopping today. On thursday/friday/saturday im a bouncer at a local bar.... impossible to stop when you have 8 hours of just standing around doing nothing....
Dipping is nasty man I saw my friends do it and they asked if I wanna do it and I said no, you CAN fight peer pressure!
Just like body-building keep a log of what EXACTLY your goals are and how you feel and stuff day to day. When you feel weak, read your log and read the reasons you are quitting and what you want out of it. Mentally support yourself. Also, take a less harmful habit to replace the smoking. Chew a toothpick or a lolypop or something like that. Sometimes just having something of similar shape in your hand/mouth (no homo) can help. Whenever you want a smoke/chew whatever, and you are thinking about having one and you are in that "fcuk it" mood, force yourself to wait 15-30 minutes before having it, and see if you still want it. Take that time to read your journal. Whenever you have a craving, go fap, then have a run after the fap, then cold shower. Good luck.

That's all it is. Smoked for six years, quit three years ago, never smoked again. If you really want it, you'll do it. As simple as that.
jsut set a day that you can dip on. Make it two days a week that you can dip. Over time cut that down to one day. Over time you will just want to qui9t

any comments/suggestions appreciated Congrats on your decision. Keep something handy for the oral fixation ( raw veggies, sunflower seeds, etc..) This will help you get through a craving. You may want to also get something to help you sleep at night...the nicotine withdrawal can make sleeping difficult. Good luck

Keep your mind occupied for a few days to get over the 'withdrawls' from the tobacco. After the first few days ot will be just a psychological thing.
