Losing fat during Injury
Losing fat during Injury
I am currently 6 foot and 182 lbs, I'm not entirely sure of my BF% It can't be to high becaue I have decent defintion but it's not extremely low either because I have fat on me but anyway my question is I want to cut my weight down to 170 and try to keep as much muscle as possible but I recently tore/strained a muscle in my back and I can't really do much upper body lifting with it. My question is with a healthy diet and I'm talking betewen 1700-1800 cal a day and that includes getting 200 G of protein a day and I do cardio everyday which consists of H I I T (6 sprints for 30 seconds and 60-90 seconds of jogging in between sprints I ususaly make it about 3 and ahalf miles when I run) will this program keep as much muscle as possible while still burning off fat.
I'm extremely worried I'm going to lose a ton of muscle because I won't be able to lift for atleast 2 weeks with the way my back is feeling but with these calories and my cardio schedule is it still possible to become cut with this program...also whenever my back is ready to lift again how many calories should I be eating to continue to lose fat? Keep in mind I'll be lifting 3 days a week and probably doing cardio 4-5 thanks for anyone who can give me some help
