should I return this blouse...?
should I return this blouse...?
I bought a pretty Victorian style blouse in H&M the other week. White with lacy inserts, cap sleeves, looks better than it sounds as it really fitted me well! Haven't used it yet, tags still attached.
But I had a look at the washing instructions last night and discovered it's 65% polyester and only 35% cotton! I didn't even think to check in the shop as I just assumed a blouse like this was 100% cotton. Now I can't decide whether it's even worth keeping it - will it be really sweaty and horrible in the summer? It was £14.99, and I'm taking a £9.99 skirt back as well, so it's enough to buy something else (I mean it's not like it cost £3.99!). Bit undecided... what do y'all think?

hmmmm im not sure, if it depends on how you react to man made materials. If you will definately be sweaty then take it back as there is no point having something you will be uncomfortable in.

Yeah, I dunno, really... I'm not a particularly sweaty person (sorry, that sounds gross!!) but I hate being uncomfortable... I don't think I've got anything else of this mix, but I know I wouldn't wear a 100% polyester blouse in the summer, although I might in the winter (esp with a cotton vest under). Hm. Still not sure. Would prefer 100% cotton, so maybe I should just forget about it and keep looking. I want a pretty white blouse!

Yeah if you think you are going to be uncomfortable it means even if you keep it you probably won't wear it, so it might be better to take it back and get something you will enjoy wearing more. Wow I sound so sensible today hehe!

Hmm... yeah, I think I'll take it back after all. Now I've started thinking about it, I just know I won't be able to put that "65% polyester" out of my mind when I wear it!
