Clothes for a wedding reception (sorry!)
Clothes for a wedding reception (sorry!)
Do you think it would be ok for me to wear a black wrap dress and my bright blue platforms to a wedding reception?
Or I could wear leopard print heels which might look a bit more sophisticated? Is black ok?
They're getting married abroad and this is just a reception/party for there return so won't be full of relatives in lilac suits and hats (I don't think?) hence I thought I could probably get away with black.
Am totally skint and all my clothes are getting too big (been dieting) can't really afford to buy something especially for this unfortunately:(

The leopard print heels sound nice, I don't see why you couldn't wear a black wrap dress, I would, but then it depends on what exactly this dress looks like, I saw a lovely one in HOF, black silk, but could I squeeze myself into it..hell no!
do you have a pic of the other shoes??

Here's a photo of the leopard print ones, it's not the best but you get the idea!

I think I will go for the leopard ones actually, they look quite dressy and are more sophisticated for this occassion!
The dress is made with a drapey viscose materiel, comes just below the knees and has sort of angel type sleeves - it's very nice, but you don't get the detail from a picture or I would post one. I'm just a bit  'cos I wouldn't wear black to a wedding during the day but somehow it seems ok for the evening part!

how about some bright or coloured accessories, Dots? I'd wear pearls but I know they're not to everyone's taste, but gold/bronze might be nice too.

I like them both, but yes, I think the leopard ones, only becasue it will make it look a bit more sophisticated,
