What sort of colouring does yellow suit? (I mean a bright, proper yellow, not pastel lemon colour). Whenever I see clothes in this colour I always think that it would be impossible to be misable wearing something that colour, but I'm not sure if I would it myself or if it would suit me.

Yellow's lovely! I think bright toned yellow is probably best suited to tanned, olive and darker skin tones (CaramelX looks absolutely fab in her sunshine yellow top). Brunettes look especially good in yellow imo. It may wash out paler complexions and make them look sallow but other baggers may come along and offer some other opinions!

i love yellow too, which reminds me that I must buy a few more yellow tops for the summer. I have medium-tanned skin and dark hair and perfect to wear the brighter yellow rather than pastel.

I have dark brown hair and pale skin, I look better in lemon but I can wear sunshine yellow and look okay. Mustard washes me out! I think it very much depends on your exact colouring - I'd advise you to try on as many yellows as possible and see what suits!
