Tattoos: Where is yours? Do you regret it?

Tattoos: Where is yours? Do you regret it?
I've been talking for about 5 years about getting a tattoo, and today, I have been to see the tattoo guy, paid a deposit and made an appointment.
I'm planning on getting it length ways on the inside my wrist. I can't post a pic of what I want, but it's the hebrew word for life. It looks really cool (I've got it drawn on at the moment)
I'm just not 100% sure whether I should get it on my wrist or not? Where is everyones tattoos and what are they? Have you ever regretted getting it? The only thing that makes me unsure about getting it, is if I ever need to cover it up, but I know I could always wear a big bangle, or long sleeved top.

Mine's on my lower back - it's a squiggly pattern - probably slightly predictable having it on the lower back but it's the only place I wanted it and I personally like to keep mine hidden, but that's my personal preference. I don't regret having this at all.
However, a few years before having the one on my back, I had a small one on my tummy, which used to be flat but since having my daughter it's never regained - probably because I'm being lazy about exercise, but that's a different story! It just doesn't look nice anymore and I'd rather be without it, so I'm having it removed by laser - it's nearly gone!
All I will say is choose a design that you really like - I still love mine and to be honest, if there comes a day I don't, I'll have it lasered off too, so there is that option, although it's uncomfortable and expensive!
Hope this helps!

I have one on my lower back. It's really quite a big one - so you can't miss it. I adore it and know I always will. It reminds me of who I am, home and I had it done at a time in my life when I was truly happy for the first time in a long time.
But, do think carefully about what you want. I had wanted mine, exactly as it is, for at least 6 years before I had it.

Hey,
I really regret mine (it is on my upper arm) and would love it removed but I chickened out at the last minute as they lowered the laser towards me! (terrified of pain, its a wonder I actually got the thing done in the first place!) Sorry to hijack slightly but netti how is your removal going? Just how uncomfortable is it compared to the actual tattoo itself?
Just think VERY carefully. I would be happier if mine was on my back or somewhere less noticeable.

I have one on my lower hip, and two on my lower back. I dont regret mine for two reasons:
They all have significant meaning to me, to act as reminders about things which have happened to me
I dont see them day to day.
Personally I would never get one om wrist - I have a wedding dress rule - never get a tattoo were it would be seen in a wedding dress.
However, I am a teacher, and couldn't have one that visable. I think it depends on your lifestyle and your fashion sense.
