Help! I don't have enough shoes!
After reading the 'how many pairs of shoes do you have?' thread I've realised that I really do need more shoes (it's embarrassing really) as I hardly have any at all. The main reason is that I don't have a lot of space to store them but I'm sure that could be arranged....;)
The shoes I own are:
Brown, suede, slouch boots with a small heel & pointy toe.
Tan ankle boots with an almond-shaped toe.
2 pairs of trainers.
Black courts.
Tall chestnut Uggs.
Black leather pumps.
Couple of pairs of flip-flops in brown & black.
Cork wedges with light brown cross-over bit over foot.
Golden beigey colour strappy wedges.
Black round-toed boots.
So as you can see I don't have a big shoe collection at all & am usually very 'safe' with my colour choices - blacks, browns & tans. This is because I'm worried that if I get an unusual colour, it will only go with a few things & I won't get much use out of them.
I usually wear quite bright colours clothes-wise so I really should be the same with my shoes but I like to get ones that will go with lots of different outfits so I'm not just wasting money!
So why I've posted this thread is because I'd like some help increasing my shoe collection so it's a bit more substantial. :D Firstly, are there any shoes I don't already own that are essential? (Probably!) And secondly, are there any shoes around at the moment that you think I'd need to brighten up my feet a bit?!
I'm thinking of getting the Topshop suede flats in mushroom, safe colour again I know but I like them :D so that'll be another pair to add to my 'collection'......if you can call it that! But other than that I'm counting on you guys for inspiration. :)

I sympathise with you ! I am stuck between boots & sandals at this time of the year. I don`t own/want trainers, and I haven`t shoes with heels (apart from maybe 1-2 pairs...rarely worn).
I lived in DM`s from being a student and have only started to branch out in the last year or two (I finished uni for the last time, 6 years ago !).
I can`t help but maybe there is someone out there with shoe knowledge !

I prescribe one pair of round toed, brightly coloured chunky heeled platforms, stat.
If you need something to get you out of a shoe rut - they will do it. When I feel boring, I stick on my green patent platform peeptoes and instantly feel more interesting. Shoes of power.
If you have huge amounts of money lying around, there's a pair of gucci platforms that I would kill for right now :faint:

Thanks Fairy Poppins, will defo have a look out for some brightly coloured platforms when I'm in town next week, any particular colours that are 'in' at the moment? I'm in a bit of a green phase right now with clothes but I don't think I'm brave enough for green shoes just yet.
I don't get to go shopping very often due to illness so I'll be on the lookout for more interesting shoes while I'm out. Now that I think about it, I hardly ever shop for shoes so that's my belated New Year's resolution! :D
Any more suggestion welcome! :)
