Ebay help...i know, i'm sorry
Ebay help...i know, i'm sorry
Not for me honest!
Mr CiC's dad bought a phone of a new ebayer (he's also a new ebayer) which he won for £64.
He got an email from the seller saying he didn't want it to go for that little so could he send him an extra tenner.
Well OH's dad didn't so he cancelled the payment, sending him an email saying he didn't want to pay extra and the price he paid is what he should pay according to ebay rules.
Now obviously he's worried he will get negative feedback although it's not his fault. Is there anyway of letting ebay know of this situation and what would it come under if we were to complain?
Thanks ladies

Goodness me the cheek of that seller!!
I think your best bet would be to email ebay direct and explain in full the situation, and naming names ;)
And do this as soon as possible, as, if the seller does leave neg feedback, then you have some recourse as ebay already knew about the problem, and can then take appropriate action.
I'd leave neutral feedback for the seller, just enough to put people off, because if I left neg feedback for him, I'd be worried he'd do it in return out of spite.

He can report the non-performing seller at this link:

Luckily I've not had to complain about a seller before, but you know in 'My ebay' where it shows your recent purchases, in the drop down menu for that purchase is there not an option to report the seller? If not he could send a general email to eBay with the item number on etc etc.
As for the negative feedback, if he does give him it, he can add his own reply on and if eBay do get involved it can probably be withdrawn.
It's a bummer when things like this happen, why can't people just do things properly?!!
Hope this helps! (I have a feeling it won't much lol!) x

Thank you ladies!
I'll think i'll try and get him to file the 'non - performing seller' thing.
We did tell Mr CiC's dad to buy from an established seller but oh no he buys from a 0 feedback person:rolleyes: Haven't got a problem with new sellers but not for stuff like phones.
Now the hard task will be trying to explain how to file the complaint to OH's dad:rolleyes:
