o/t but help needed and oweee...
This morning I did a very stupid thing - accidentally mixed up my peroxide contact lens solution with my saline and shoved a lens covered in peroxide in my eye - yes, OW!
I'm sure I did this before a while back and it went away after an hour or so but this time it seems to be getting worse...
I can feel an evil headache coming on as well...
does anyone know what I should do? I've rinsed it lots and lots.
really wishing i hadn't come into work...:(

i dont wear contacts but my best advice is to contact nhs direct asap. you cant be too careful when it comes to eyes in my opinion.

I'm a contact lens wearer, but I have always used the all in one solution, so have never had this problem, so can't really help too much. I would agree with contacting NHS direct and maybe try and get an eye bath, all good chemists should sell them.
Can you not switch to the all in one solution?

I've done this before and my eye went an entertaining shade of scarlet. I would recommend flushing your eye with saline or just plain water, if you don't have an eyebath use an egg cup.

I did actually use an eye bath but perhaps I just haven't done it enough? I think having to use the stupid computer is just making it worse too.
Ileana - did actually used to use the all-in-one but it really irritated my eyes so I had to switch. The peroxide one actually kills more nasties but there is the danger of doing what I've just done whcih is a bit of a bummer...
