Dyeing a skirt?

Dyeing a skirt?
  Help please
I brought a black skirt from Karen Millen last year and I love it and I washed it how it said on the label but it has faded loads!
How can I get it back to black?
I don't want to mess about with dyes really unless its easy! Or does anyone know where I can get it done professionally?

Answers:

Unless it's 100% natural fibres it won't dye easily - however if it's a blend it's most likely the natural fibres that have faded.
Dylon do dyes you can do in your washing machine, but you must do a couple of cycles afterwards to clean it out :)

I had some jumpers that were black but really faded to a dull greyish colour. I used Dylon Machine wash dye and it's brilliant. You put in however many packets you need with 500g of salt and put it on the recommended setting. You can buy it from Woolworths or any other goodshop. It was alot easier that I though it would be and have since dyed other clothes in different colours.

Dylon do a colour restorer too, which I think is fabbo. It's about a quarter of the price of the dyes, and I've used it to dye stuff with (rather than restore the colour).
No salt required or other annoying things you always forget when you're dyeing.
