Work suitable dresses

Work suitable dresses
  Hey guys!
New to posting on this board but thought it would be the ideal place for advice!
I've just started working in an office where everyone does dress quite casual, but I think jeans would be taking it too far!
I really want to get into wearing dresses but sometimes they make me feel a bit 'obvious' and self conscious!
Can anyone recomend what sort of dresses would be appropriate that arent plain and officey or too dressy?
Thanks for any help!
xx

Welcome to the board
How about a wrap or tea dress over trousers? That might make you feel less self conscious and there's less likelihood of accidentally exposing yourself

Answers:

Wrap dresses
Tea dresses (there are loads of tea dress style jersey dresses in the shops at the mo)
Shirt dresses
All really versatile, can be worn over trousers or with just bare legs/tights.
I think they look great for work.
There are so many dresses about at the moment and most of them are patterned which means they won't look too 'officey'.

Yeah, tea dresses are lovely worn on their own or over trews (TS has some great tea dresses) - although make sure they're either straight, slim leg or wide leg. And black's a great winner underneath bright patterns! I think the khaki/brown/olive coloured shirt dresses are nicer on their own, wear with flip flops or a sandal heel and tanned legs!

Thanks guys! Think I'll have to go for a wrap dress! Dont know why I didnt think of that!
Cant do shirt fresses sadly as they tend to be too big at the waste and too tight on my hips!
Hmmm, I may come here everytime I want a new item of clothing!
