does this look ok for a night out clubbing!

I have never posted on this particular forum before (I am a serious lurker though)!
But I wondered if you could help me………………
I am going to Fabric nightclub on Friday night. I don’t go clubbing often so I would like to get really dolled up, plus fabric is quite a fancy club. On the rare occasion that I do go clubbing I find it so difficult to get my outfit right. I’m fine with picking out clothes for a night out down the pub but whenever I try to get really dressed up I can never get it right.
I would like to wear a pair of denim shorts – you know the really short ones. BH Would you look at a girl wearing these and think she looked tarty? I was going to go for some gold strappy shoes and a gold clutch (but I’m thinking classy rather than funky).
I have attached pics of the top I had in mind but I might get it in white instead of black (what do you think). And a pic of a choker that I really like. Be honest is this outfit going to look pretty or just plain slutty?!
If you think the whole outfit is crap then any recs welcome!

Both top and necklace are from Oasis. The necklace is from Oasis and is £16! they have a matching bracelet too.
You see i adore the necklace more than any other part of the outfit i have in mind but i am not sure that it goes together.

I think I'd wear a plainer top with that necklace (which is lovely btw!), but then you could go for a really ott look seeing as it's Fabric. What night are you going to?
