Slightly OT, eBay Buyer Not In Uk!
Slightly OT, eBay Buyer Not In Uk!
My auction for a top just finished and it says on the auction that I will post to the UK, nothing about international posting. I went to invoice my winning bidder, only to find they live in Denmark  What do I do now? I've never had this issue before!

If you stated that the quoted delivery was for UK only, then is it not possible to find out how much it will be to post the item to Denmark and invoice the buyer for that?

You can get a quote here:

or take it to the post office tomorrow and ask them for a quote. Then just invoice the buyer.

This just happened to me! *Rant* I clearly state in my listing that I only post to the UK and then get an email from the winner (who hadn't paid yet) asked when she could expect her package, and she's in Germany. I started with a sniffy "I don't send to Germany, now I'll have to relist, you should have read the listing properly" but when she replied very apologetically saying she had tried to email me (hmm, how come I didn't get the email?) I felt a bit mean.
So I've emailed saying the reason I don't post overseas is to avoid the hassle of tracking packages that go astray, but if she wants to take the risk then I'll post it. I'm charging £10 to post a pair of shoes to Germany. Does that help? Of course, then she couldn't work out how to put pounds in the amount box (they don't have pound signs on German keyboards) so I had to help her with that but honestly, THIS IS WHY I DON'T SHIP OVERSEAS! I think these people are chancers who know it's more trouble than it's worth not to go ahead with the sale.

I've sold quite a lot to European/International buyers on ebay and never had a problem, apart from one package that went a bit astray on the way to Italy once, but it was swiftly sorted by the post office. :)
