Majorly O/T - Ipod/itunes help needed
Hey!
I know this probably should be in the technology forum, but you fashion girlies seem to know everything so I thought I'd try my luck here.
I had one of the very old Ipods (had it years) and have been using iTunes with it. I just got a very schexy new Ipod nano for my birthday and I want to put some music on. I am just worried that if I plug it into my computer it will automatically update it - there is too much music in iTunes and I want to be able to choose what goes on there. Is there any way of changing the settings to stop automatic updates. I have looked in the preferences section of iTunes and on the settings of the nano but nada
Thank you so much to anyone who can help! xx

I don't know too much about ipods (my bf sorts mine out) but I had the same problem as you and this is what he said to me!!
- to change the preferences you actually have to plug your ipod in first. There is then a setting to either update automatically, or manually update your ipod. If you have too much music in your library, choose the manual setting.
Hope this helps.

or just untick the little boxes next to the songs before you plug in your nano, the unticked ones do not transfer onto your ipod!

to make it easier than searching through and ticking every one you want everytime just make a playlist with all your tunes on it and set it up in preferences so that it just updates that playlist to your ipod automatically if you see what i mean :)
