O/T How many of you like football?

O/T How many of you like football?
This is really starting to bug me now! Mr sb refuses to admit that i have any real idea of football.
He refuses to believe me that i have watched a game especially a non england game of my own accord.
He frequently 'tests' me of my knowledge and despite be able to name the england team, many international players, scores of matches, the off side rule, current news etc, I still know nothing as i am a girl!
I dont know why this winds me up as it doesn't make any difference to me whether he believes me or not it's just been driving me mad over the last couple of weeks !!
I probably sound like a complete laddette, which i promise im not, i just quite enjoy watching football!!
Anyway sorry for the rant and i'd be interested whether any of you feel the same as me (or him!!!)
xx

Football's alright. I could give or take really, I find it very difficult to sit there for 90 minutes. I don't mind watching say, Sweden or Spain play. But that's purely for reasons other than football. :o
There's other sports I'd much rather watch.
Oh, and I reckon you're OH feels abit challenged by your knowledge. Men like explaining things like the offside rule ;)

Me *waves* I LOVE football! I have to admit I couldn't care less about watching Timbuctoo playing a friendly against some other tiny country or something (yes I know Timbuctoo isn't a real place, and they don't play football) but when it's a big competition such as the World Cup, I get right into it - and not just the England matches, I like them all. Nothing can beat the excitement watching a big match.

PMSL  Mr GJ does this too! Flamin' men... unfortunately we will never 'know as much about football as them', no matter how many players we can name, or how word-perfectly we can explain the offside rule. Just ignore him, and enjoy the matches!

I lurve football more than a lot of men i know !
I have a Newcastle season ticket and have a scary knowledge of the game (the offside rule still gets me though:lol: )
He is probably threatened by your knowledge- most men I know think girls watch the game for the footballers only:rolleyes:

I hate football! particularly the world cup, but it's not the sport so much that i dislike, watching it is just boring, but it's the accompanying loutishness and bad behaviour that seems to come with football matches.
Mr Ellie isn't a football fan either, so it makes it easier.
