TOTALLY O/T.... but please help!
Sorry to bring this here, but motoring is really quiet and I really need some advice!
I bought a car 2 months ago, got a puncture last night and have only now found that the garage didn't give me any keys for my locking wheel nuts - I have never had alloy's before so I didn't know I should have any.
I've contacted the garage but the poisonous sales exec I have been dealing with swears blind they gave me these keys. My Mum was with me when I picked up my car and agrees with me that we weren't given them.
Basically, its my word against hers and i've been in this situation with her before over a free service they promised me when I bought the car - she claimed it hadn't been offered, when it was part of the agreement we made - so I KNOW she isn't going to back down.
I just really don't know what to do, and I don't think its fair that I should have to pay for her cock-up - god knows how much its going to cost me to replace the wheel nuts or keys. Does anyone have any advice as to where I can take my complaint? I think its disgusting that she can sit there and outright lie and there is nothing I can do about it.
So many things like this have happened to me lately, I'm really upset about it and I just don't have the strength to fight anymore but I'm sick of being walked all over by everyone.
ANY advice would be very much appreciated.

Im really sorry to hear that, they sound like an awful garage! Could you maybe post in legal too they may have some advice. How much would it cost to get a new key?

Thanks Nursie, didn't think about legal will post there too. Sometimes I just feel like i'm walking around with the word MUG stamped on my forehead!
I don't hold out much hope as it's my word against theirs, but I think the customer service there is terrible and I don't want to just back down without at least making a fomal complaint.
Apparently it could take months to get me a new key which is not really viable as if I got another puncture I would be stuffed. Looks like I will have to replace all the wheel nuts which would be at least £100 - which I don't have!

Does she have a superior who you could speak to?

In these situation I like to pick a moment when the showroom is busy and kick off loudly, it's surprising how quickly they come round to your way of thinking then.
