Ladies
have corporate work dinner next week (95% men) and am trying to decide whether to go with an outfit I have or give in to temptation and hit grafton street this evening.
What I had in mind was my 50's style red broderie cotton sundress, teamed with my cream office platforms and my cream kukuinut beads (an outfit I wore out for dinner last weekend). But then part of me is wanting to go to BT's and grab something nice seeing as I have an excuse  My friend has told me I couldn't possibly get something nicer than my current outfit, what do you think? one concern is that its a sundress with straps and will I feel a bit awkward at a male dominated event if i'm showing my shoulders.... :o

I think the sundress sounds lovely! If you are concered about bare shoulders maybe you could get a shrug or something :) However its always worth a look for something new just incase you find something stunning :)

the outfit you described sounds great tiny. What kind of dinner is it? ie how formal? Like a summer get together dinner, or a more formal corporate dinner following a conference or something like that? I think if it was a more formal thing, I might have to find an excuse to go shopping for something else  If the men were all wearing suits, a sundress might seem a bit casual IYSWIM?

Thanks guys
its going to be the more Summer Informal type of thing, ie most of the men will be in chinos and short sleeved shirts. I will decide in the afternoon whether i'm going to brave graftno street in the heat or else just head home  its about 27 degrees at the moment

in that case the dress sounds perfect.......head home and sit in the garden with a nice glass of white wine instead :D
