O/T - Brighton?

O/T - Brighton?
I'm going to try and make this relevant to fashion...sort of:p
I'm whisking my OH for a magical mystery trip to Brighton for the evening of Monday and the whole of Tuesday next week. We are staying at Lansdowne Place Hotel and really need reccs of bars and restaurants for Monday night and lunch on Tuesday, and suggestions of things to during the day.
From a fashion point of view, what should I take to wear?
For the daytime I was thinking of dark denim skinny crops, puff sleeved t-shirt and either ballet shoes or flipflops.
I wanted to go for something slightly funkier on the Monday night, but I have no inspiration , any suggestions?

Hi ambukate,
I live not far from that hotel, it's a good area for going out but you maybe venture into town around the lanes for some nice bars and restaurants.
What's your budget for going out food wise so I know what to recommend as there's a gorgeous new seafood restaurant that has opened up.
I'd say that your outfit would be lovely for the day, everyone really laid back down here so you wouldn't look out of place in your pyjamas tbh with some of the outfits on thje seafront recently :head:
I'm not really sure what to suggest outfit wise as I don't know your style

Thanks Weenie!
My budget for food is probably up to £30 a head including drinks, though if it is really good I don't mind going a bit higher...
I think I'll skip my pj's for the seafront, but thanks to that comment I am really looking forward to some serious people watching, thankfully OH is a bit of girl in that respect and is entirely happy to join in :p
I've got a very fitted black shirt dress that I haven't worn yet, I may give that a go for Monday night (it is Monday after all) if I can funk it up with some accessories and shoes

You could always go to Havana in Duke Street which does gorgeous cocktails and really lovely european fusion food which is the only way I can describe it! The number is 01273 773388.
My friend went to Riddle & Finns Oyster bar the other night and she said it was absolutely amazing and she always eats in Claridges and Le Gavroche in london so I trust her opinion. It's in Meeting House Lane. There's a review here http://www.theargus.co.uk/the_argus/...eandfinns.html and that site will hav some other reviews of places that might be useful.
Gars is also fabulous in Ship Street for chinese food. The Gingerman at Drakes Hotel http://www.theargus.co.uk/the_argus/...kes_hotel.html http://www.drakesofbrighton.com/ or in Norfolk Square http://www.theargus.co.uk/the_argus/...gingerman.html http://www.gingermanrestaurants.com/ are gorgeous and the Norfolk Square one is near Western Road for bars and the one at Drakes is just downstairs from the hotel bar.
Blanch House is also lovely too for food and the drinks are superb!!!! www.blanchhouse.co.uk I love it here.
Then there's Momma Cherri's which was on Ramsay's kitchen nightmares and he loved thefood before he even got to work on drumming it up more trade which was the main issue! http://www.mommacherri.co.uk/ Always heavily booked out though!
I would advise booking wherever you're going to though! Your outfit sounds lovely and you'll enjoy the people spotting too as it's going to be a scorcher at the weekend and all the loonies come out then
