Shops that are currently disappointing you?
I know we have this quite regularly, but I find that I go through phases of disliking certain shops. At the moment the offenders are Debenhams and Oasis.
Debenhams:
I really think that if the head honchos are not careful, Debs will go the way of Allders and cease to be, if they don't invest a little more in store layout, and updating their scruffy, cramped and badly lit and organised shops. I've not been to one that hasn't made me feel stressed! House of Fraser is an infinitely better dept store imo.
Oasis:
Is it me or are the prices rocketing and quality nosediving in this shop? I tried on a cap sleeved cotton wrap dress in there the other day, it was a rubbish fit, the cotton was so thin and grey-black it could've been used for mosquito nets and I was expected to pay £40 for something sub-Primark quality. It's a shame because I occasionally like things in there, but am increasingly put off by their prices.

Hmmmm online wise probably DP's - i haven't ordered from there in ages which is unusual for me. Things look nice in the picture then are rubbish when they come just lately for me.
Haven't been to the shops since April but i was pretty disappointed with Oasis. Some of the stuff is nice but the prices are getting crazy.

River Island - what the hell has happened to that shop? They seem to have permanent sales and the place is full of crinkled up tat. They used to be great for summer wear - lovely kaftans and tunics, but it's just full of cheap, sequinned, glittery rubbish. Even their footwear has gone down the toilet. And on the rare occasions I go in their stores they are always next to empty. I think they'll disappear from our highstreet in the next 5 years. Or rather I hope they will.

totally agree with you both curls and CiC...
I forgot to add that I find the Debenhams website completely infuriating, the zoom function doesn't work for and my sister and I once spent ages peering close up at our laptop screens trying to make out if a print on a dress was nice or not. Obviously we'd never locate it in one of their shops!
DP do wayyyy too much polyester. I found a skirt and dress in there I love recently but they must be two of the only cotton items left in there. There is a green dress on the site for £30 or £40 that proudly states it is "acetate." Now this stuff is usually used for dress LININGS not actual clothes themselves, and is dangerously flammable. I think it might even melt if it touches a flame.
And RI is so ghastly now - I can't believe there was a time they did lovely widelegged wool trousers and tasteful work clothes...

Oh yeah ...back in 1999/2000 that was. I got some lovely grey wide leg wool trousers from there back in the day.
Now it's like a Girls Aloud fancy dress shop!
