Slightly O/T - any Edinburgh baggers?

Slightly O/T - any Edinburgh baggers?
I'm off to Edinburgh this weekend; the boy is going up on Friday for business so I wangled an invite :yay: (OK, I actually invited myself :o )
Anyway, I just wondered if anyone has any particular recs on what to do, where to eat/drink/be merry? We'll be staying pretty central and I'd like to do a few touristy things, but still allow plenty of time to just chill out and relax.
Also, is there a Primark? :D

Edinburgh bagger here!
George St which lies behind Princes Street is pretty much the place to go. It has a lot of nice bars and eating placeson or just off it. If you are looking for a bit of history & character I would suggest a trip to the High Street which is edinburgh's oldest part. the castle sits at the top and there is lots do to do from ghost tours, sight seeing or just sitting & people watching.
I am afraid Edinburgh doesn't have a Primark! We do have a Harvey Nicks and the Oldest Department Store is Jenners which sits on Princes St near the East end.
Hope you have a fab time, I adore Edinburgh and it is great in the summer !

Thanks Catslife!
Have you ever been on the castle tour, or anything similar? I know that sometimes these things are a rip off, so wouldn't want to waste my cash if it's not worth it.
How about the Dungeons?

Answers:

I haven't done the Castle before but it is meant to be good - it is a historic tour.
The Dungeons are the same as what is in York, London etc. Ran by the same group.
However if you want something unique to Edinburgh, you are looking for a vaults tour. These are ran by different companys, which have stands on the high Street - Mercat Tours or the Witchery Tours ar the 2 main ones i can think off the top of my head.
Basically Edinburgh is a city built on bridges ( that is why it has a great skyline!) which have huge vaults underneath, where the lower classes used to stay. Another thing which I did last year is Mary Kings Close which is basically an underground town that was built over - when you go in it is all preserved like olden days but no sunlight. Very odd!

I read about that; it was on my list of things to do, it looks so unusual!
Will probably give the dungeons a miss as I've been to the London ones anyway.
Thanks for all your help :)
