O/T chronic fatigue syndrome - please help
i'm sorry, i know this is completely off topic but whenever i post in health i get ignored. i'm a fashion lurker most of the time so i feel like i can trust all of you because i feel like i know you in a non-crazy stalker girl way.
im undergoing all these tests at the doctors becasue they don't know what's wrong with me. ive been looking at my symptoms on the net (i know - practically a crime in itself) and i match all the symptoms for it.
"Other symptoms in addition to fatigue are also common, although most people don’t have all of them. They include:
Muscular pain, joint pain and headaches
Poor short-term memory and concentration
Difficulty organising your thoughts and finding the right words
Painful lymph nodes
Stomach pain and other problems similar to irritable bowel syndrome
Sore throat
Severe headache
Sleeping problems, such as insomnia and disturbed sleep
Sensitivity or intolerance to light, loud noise, alcohol and certain foods
Additional, less common symptoms, such as dizziness, excess sweating, balancing problems and difficulty controlling body temperature "
i even have the less common symptoms - i keep falling on the stairs beacsue i lose my balance, i sweat so much at night that i practically have to wash my pjs every day because they smell and i'm always going hot and cold.
i'm getting my blood test results on wednesday, vbut i dont know if i should make another appointment?
i'm so worried about this - i'm doing my a2 exams in about a week and i cant concentrate on anything. i managed to work for a couple of hours on thursday night and couldn't even concentrate on how much items were, couldnt get my words out for the simplest things. how am i going to sit these exams? they are so important and i'm so ill i cant even revise.
i just dont know what to do. and i want to cry. but i cant beacsue my parents have guests round and i dont want to bother them

You need to speak to someone at your school on Monday - exams secretary, head of year or someone who you can go to and explain your situation and plead special circumstances and perhaps have special arrangements so you can sit the exams but take a break if you need to?
i don't know what to say, but didn't want to read and not reply.
you get your blood test results on wednesday, take it from there, see what your doctor has to say, what he/she recommends next.
rest at the moment and eat well, hopefully someone else will have some better suggestions.

:higgies: hi... I know quite a few baggers know a lot more than me about CFS, Catwoman_in_catsuit and bella ragazza to name two, and they'll probably have much better advice than me but i just want to give you a big  until they see this thread

Don't worry hun! It#s most likely to be something that will come up in you blood tests :)
M.E. aka CFS is usually diagnosed when everything else has been ruled out. How long have you been like this? You usually have to have had the symptoms constantly for about 3 - 6 months before they consider M.E.
If you have only had it short term i wouldn't worry, it's probably just a virus or maybe something like Glandular fever - which isn't nice but isn't forever.
Talk to your college though if you are still ill, they should be able to help you.
ETA: Looking back on your symptoms it sounds like glandular fever, thyroid or possible diabetes to me. My dad had similar symptoms when he was diagnosed with it. It's more than likely a virus though, my mum had something similar a few months back and it lasted a little while.

Hiya, really sorry to hear you're feeling unwell, espes at exam time, you prob feel worse because you know you need to get better for exams! Which A2s are you doing, btw?
You might be able to get special circumstances if it's really bad. A girl at my college stayed until 6pm, for an exam that was meant to finish at two because she needed sleeps in between.
