Looking fab at a friends wedding?!!?
Looking fab at a friends wedding?!!?
I'm heading towards the end of my tether, my friend is getting married in early July and I need to look fab because another mutual frined is going to be there who has spent the last couple of years disapproving of my partner and basically making me feel a little bit small because of it. Consquently I want to look fab!
The other element is that it is my friend's second marriage and she was telling me that she feels people aren't coming because they don't think second marriages are as important and some don't approve of the age gap that she and her fiance have. So I also want to make an obvious effort so that she knows that I care as much about this wedding as I did about her first (where I was a bridesmaid).
Its quite a casual affair at a converted barn venue in rural Essex, on a Thursday. I am 5'2", blonde mid length hair, and a bit of an apple shape with a horrible wobbly tummy, but quite nice breasts (although on the large side 34E) and I am about a 12-14 on the bottom and anything upto a 16 on top to accomodate my boobs :rolleyes:
So far I have thought of a couple of outfits;
Or these trousers
And this top
With an aqua pashmina / wrap
I'll wear silver strappy wedges with either outfit, but have no idea what to do with my hair etc.
Please oh wondrous here ladies can I have your thoughts?:o

well, I think that both those outfits are FAB - really stylish and chic, but i would ask a couple of questions
1) is the jacket on the first outfit going to be too warm for a July wedding?
2) will the aqua top cope with your boobs?! :o
and if the answers are 'no' and 'yes' respectively then i really couldn't choose between the two...which is helpful of me, isn't it?! :rolleyes:

Thanks for your reply, I'm also concerned about the jacket being too warm, I keep hoping for some nice summer weather but its just not cooperating at the moment :p
As for the top, I guess I need to try it on, with the aid of a good strapless bra I have been wearing the DP bandeau and Warehouse bandeau at the moment and the seem to be quite flattering but I just don't know.

ok, i would say...if the aqua top looks ok on, go with that outfit. what about your hair? what length is it? perhaps you could put it up with silver chopsticks, to match the shoes or something?

Oh love the idea of silver chopsticks, and just had a play and think my hair might just be long enough, think I'll have to go hunting at the weekend and get some to play with!
Perhaps a silver clutch bag might be called for as well?
Think I may order the trousers and top off the net now so I can try them on and see how it looks :)
