O/T Flippin' EBAY!!!!!
Well, I didn't get round to ebaying my stuff but have decided to do it today as there is a special offer on - free gallery or something.
Anyway, I had a run-in with a dodgy seller and have now received my first neg even though I've done nothing wrong! I replied and have left negative feedback (was going to do this anyway) to warn others not to deal with this bad seller, but I'm worried that if they are bitter enough to give me a neg for nothing, they might try and wreck my auctions if I start selling.
Basically, I ordered an item of clothing which was described as used but looked pristine in the picture and there was no mention of any defects in the description. When it arrived (the item was white) it was FILTHY dirty, damp and smelly, covered in stains and even had holes in it. I immediately washed it but couldnt get rid of the smell, stains or - obviously - holes.
I contacted the seller and explained I was disappointed and politely requested a refund, which they agreed to. Sent the item back recorded delivery immediately - this was a month ago. The seller told me they had a problem with paypal and would send me a cheque for the refund. Needless to say the cheque never arrived. In the end the seller stopped replying to my emails so I reported it to Paypal.
I've just been told I'll get my money back when I send the item back. Thankfully, I have the online proof of delivery that ebay supply which has the sellers signature showing they received the item and have forwarded this to paypal, but the seller is claiming I have not returned the item and they have refunded me twice!!
Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and if it affected their own auctions?

I bought a white leather authentic tods bag off ebay. It was a mess when I got it. Firstly it wasn't leather and all the plastic was chipped off the handles and the zipper pull! I contacted the seller numerous times with no reply so in anger I posted a calm honest feedback rating. They replied with negative feedback basically saying I hadn't a clue what I was on about and I should have the bag checked out. The neg bothered me at first but it's only one and if someone checks it out they will see I initiated the neg not the other person. Don't worry about it. :)

Honestly, I dont think a neg you gave in the first place is going to affect your rating whatsoever.

I'm not too bothered about the neg, as from the reply and return feedback I've left I think people will be able to figure out who's telling the truth.
I'm more concerned that they might try and wreck my auctions or I might get some further come-back on this.
Its so frustrating when I've done nothing wrong!

Just found that you can block certain users from bidding on your auctions! Didn't know this, so I've blocked the user in question and hopefully my auctions will be safe!:ban:
Just thought i'd post in case anyone else wasn't aware of this feature!:o
Amazingly, the user is still maintaining that they refunded me twice and that I didn't send the item back, even though I have indisputable proof that they have received the item back In FACT, I've just remembered they sent me an email when they received the item back from me!!!!!!!! Its incredible how people can lie like that without shame! :banghead::rant::getout::boxing:
