Cant find clothes to fit, so depressed!!
Hiya,
I am feeling so down today, i went to town yesterday looking for some clothes for summer, a nice jacket and a few tops and trousers.
The problem is that i am 14 st 5lbs in weight size 20-22 and i am only 5ft tall!!
I strugle to find clothes to fit my height let alone bigger clothes that are suited for petite women. i went to dorothy perkins and looked every where for a jacket and found this nice summery mac but they didnt have it my size! i found these trousers liked and when i tried them on they were too long, i am thats not a big problem i cant always have them shortened.
but i just wish i could go to a shop and buy something without having to make alteration to it.
I was wearing my jacket thati wore during the winter which is not too heavy but it is quite think and warm for summer and yestrtday was so humid that i was suffering badly int hat jacket btu i never take my jacket off cos i feel that people can see my big tummy and big arms.
I had so many plans for shopping yesterday but i just went to cafe nero had coffee and i just came home and when i got home i hugged my little sister who by the way is very slim and tall and i just broke down.
i felt so sad and emotional and just coudltn stop crying!! this is really depressing me.
Can you give me any tips to find suitable clothes or say some thing to motivate me to move my arse and loose weight?

Couldn't read and not post... I've always struggled with my weight and often 'fly' at mr moog during shopping trips simply because I feel so damn bad about myself.
You need to set yourself an achievable target and go about it in a sensible manner. Anything to 'faddy' or too life changing will be impossible to keep up. Make small changes to what you eat, and the amount of exercise- take the stairs, walk to local shop etc.
Speak to your doctor too. Sometimes they can help (mine is a poobag though) with advice. I've found that I'm tolerant to wheat- proper test not just jumping on the bandwagon- and feel so much healthier since I've cut it down.

Have you had a look in Evans.
Their ranges have improved alot over the years and you could also try M&S & Next. All the above have online shops.
I agree with Moog too. Improve your fitness by trying to walk more, swimming if you can. You need to feel happy mentally and learn to feel good about yourself.
Everything else tends to fall in place after that.
I always struggle with my weight going up and down, as I'm sure most women do ! but I do try to eat more healthy foods, take the stairs in the tube, etc & these little thing do make a difference.
Personally I think alot of these faddy diets aren't good if you do have a lot of weight to lose. Having more fresh fruit and veg in your diet, cutting down on carbs & protein, cutting out fizzy drinks, fast foods, sweets, crisps.
You could also post in diet and fitness as they should have loads of tips & inspiration to help you along.
Hope you feel better Sabreena:hug:

Hi ilovegreen and moog=nemesis, thankyou for replies!
I have strated being a bit more active recently, i am walking a lot more than i used to and i have cut out fizzy drinks and snacks like crisps and chocolates.
but to be honest i never was a snacking person, i just eat too much in the evenings, i was brought up with rich tasty indian food so i make a curry every night with basamati rice and i eat huge portions of that in the evening.
and i think that is my downfall. i want to join a slimming club for motivation cos i think i need motivation more than anything in life, if i have motivation i can do anything.
which slimming club would you recomned? and do you think i f i work really hard i could loose 3 stones by 22nd august? it is my 30th birthday! :(
and thankyou for the hug i needed that!
