OT Oxford Street Rant
OT Oxford Street Rant
Am sitting here eating 4th chocolate bar in past 5mins...
I am also about to commit murder.....
GAHHHHHHHHHH:mad:
Every week i get the brilliant idea of going to Oxford Street, i live in Lancaster gate/Bayswater so its normally High Street Ken for me.
I am normally the meekist thing, always saying sorry etc, but today i stepped on this girls foot on purpose :o
The beef i have with Oxford Street:
-Why on earth going shopping with 50 people GET OUT OF THE WAY
-Buggies. Just why, if i had a buggy there is no way i'd take it to OS (must admit some mothers are really good with buggies and move them out of the way, but others just leave in in the middle of the shop so no one can get past.
- Going OTT on the outfit, its shopping, its not a blumming fashion parade. People go all out stiletos, mini, boob tube, peroxide hair, its not bloody club feck off.
-Seeing about a zillion faces all looks EXACTLY the same, people who dress differently stand out so much on OS (in a good way), i saw a girl who was doing a kind of hippy thing with dreads wearing linen trousers, and she looked so good and natural compared to the clones.
It really puts me off shopping when you see something nice and then realised you've just seen half of OS wearing the same thing. I used to love polka dots, stripes and skinneys, and now have completly stopped wearing them, because it makes me feel like a clone (i know with the high street now this is hard).
-"We're so alternative/waky/zannie" FECCK OFF your not, you're a stupid 15yr old thinking your it now stop bloody screaming/squealing/shouting

I had the exact same feeling when I popped there at lunch time, I made the mistake of going into Debenhams:nono:
The place is full of middle age women, aimlessly wandering around and getting in my way!
OS is also covered in tourist who have no idea that there might be people trying to get somewhere instead of ambling around looking skyward.
It is the middle bit of Oxford Street which is the worse, Marble Arch end is civilized by comparison

Oh I feel your wrath!
I had buggy rage yesterday. I was stood outside Next for a good 3 mins (sorry 3 mins is too long to have to wait to go INTO a shop IMO!!) waiting for people with buggies taking their sweet time coming out of the shop.
For the first 2 mothers I smiled sweetly and really didn't mind, but then the 3rd mother came towards the doorway and then saw something and stopped leaving her buggy blocking the entrance - I snapped and said "Excuse can you move your child out of the way?!" Yeah I sounded rude but I didn't care. She was completely thoughtless in her actions!
Memo to Next in Wood Green: Rearrange your stock and don't put kidswear at the front of the store, noone else can get in!!!!!
Whenever I'm up Oxf St I gaze at people from buses in amusement. So many girls dress OTT for a day out shopping! So many people wear stupid heels when all they're doing is walking up and down going into shops judging by the no of carrier bags and then they start limping and look realy silly and so I cackle with glee as I skip past in my flats
TS in Oxf Circus just totally annoys me. I get the impression people bloody go in there to be "spotted" and they're beng spotted for all the wrong reasons - most look ridiulous. Too many pouting giants in there aswell who get in my way when I'm trying to look around. I used to love TS but I just wanna get out asap now.
Oval I feel like some choc now!!

Tell me about it! I work just off OC, so if I want fresh air at lunch times, that's usually where I end up. It is a nightmare especially on Fridays!
But handy for nipping to TS to pick up that latest item before it sells out ;)
I prefer to shop on High St Ken, it is sooo much more civilised:cool:
