New Shoes!
New Shoes!
Does everyone love my new boots?
I have to have them for work :( Bang goes wearing all my pretty flip flops all summer.
I would rather have had these:
Gutted. But at least I :throb: my new job.

Blimey what job do you have that you have to wear those? I think you should get the red shoes as compensation :p

I started my initial police training 2 weeks ago. I still have 3 weeks of pretty shoes until I'm issued with my uniform and am sent to shoe hell (at least the boots are comfy). :cop:
Hmm...red shoes as compensation you say.....
I like the cut of your jib.....:p

Oh yes, you definitely deserve to buy yourself some pretty shoes after wearing those black things  You have to balance it out, don't you!
Police training sounds really good Bamboozle... how's it going so far? I always though I'd like to go into the police, but I'm a bit of a wimp so I'm hopefully doing something else with criminal law instead - where you get to wear suits and don't have to arrest people

I absolutely love it! Its the first job I've had where people don't complain. Everyone I've met in the constabulary says how its the best constabulary in the country. I love that everyone treats it like you've become part of their family.
I've done 2 weeks now, have had my attestation (been sworn in by a magistrate) so have my warrant card and full police powers, but no idea how to use them!
I'm with a good crowd of people - very mixed, but we're all getting on great.
Making the most of no uniform for the next 3 weeks though, because the uniform is not pretty!
GJ I think you should apply. One of the women I used to work with told me that her biggest regret is not ever appling to see if she could do it, and now she's too old.
I'm finding myself trawling police shopping websites and trying to buy loads of funky kit, instead of trawling topshop and primark! Must get out more!
