hey there
im a lurker too but i see that your thread got missed among the millions so im delurking to help you. ive worked for two companies that sell great suits so i like to think i know a bit of something!
it really depends how much you want to spend on your suit to where you should go...
the classic suit and workwear shop is really next. there you'll prob pay £60 for a jacket and £30 for trousers or a skirt and i *think* they'll have a petites section for you.
cheaper than that are primark (which in my opinion do surprisingly good suits, i have one which i paid £16 for trousers and jacket and it looks fine alongside my paul costelloe one which is worth £398!). primark trousers are often long though i find so you might need the trousers shortening or you could buy a skirt if you'd feel comfortable and its not too much of a "power suit" that you need.
make sure to get a good fit on your shoulders (not too tight on your back but not hanging off the shoulder) and look out for heavier fabrics which hang well. to get a great fit, dont be afraid to try two sizes up or down - im a size 12 but got an 8 jacket and 12 tousers.
in between primark and next you could try dorothy perkins which also do petites and in there you'll prob pay about £50 for the full suit. same rules apply for the cut and fabrics.
if you have lots of money to spend, go to a department store like house of fraser or john lewis and look at departments like paul costelloe, episode, hugo boss and hobbs. the sales assistants will probably help you with your sizing and cut although you should look out because they are working on commission so you will almost certainly come out having spent millions of pounds and feeling rather ashamed (although incredibly pleased with your fabbo suit!) edit - in these shops you will find the trousers to be long too. if you go for a straight leg style (v well done by paul costelloe) rather than a tapered leg these should be easily shortened to look great on you. have the sales assistants pin them so you can see what they look like.
i think if its your first suit, you should probably stick to black or grey although taupe and brown also work well for the summer. i would go for trousers rather than a skirt although in some places you'll be able to pick up a three piece which will be great as you can wear the bottoms as separates as well as as part of the suit.
for jacket styles, i personally prefer short jackets with one button and long jackets dont seem to suit me. try on a few though and go for the one in which you feel fab as the better you feel in your outfit the more confident youll be in your interview.
well...long reply! sorry if you got bored and well done if you made it to here! can you tell i used to be a sales assistant??
good luck finding one and hope your interview is great!

Hi
I also recommend Zara and Mango for suits, you may also find one in TopShop if you have a big one near you, they are pretty good quality and fit and relatively well priced too.
Funk it up with good accessories though, so you don't look like a clone of everyone else going for the job and they remember you.
Good look with your interview.
