O/T Did you vote today?
Know this is nothing to do with fashion whatsoever, but I was just wondering how many of you used your vote today.
I intended to until I realised that despite reading every campaign leaflet that came through the door, I don't have a clue what any of my candidates are actually standing for. All the campaigning I've seen has been playground tactics of - he said this, he did that, ner ner ner ner ner we're better than him!
I'm not hugely into my politics, and am in no way wishing to start a debate on the parties but from the view of someone who knows very little about what stance each party takes on any given subject I decided it would be a bigger waste to vote and not know how a politician feels about the war in Iraq or his views on education etc etc, than not to vote at all.
Anyway...just wondered if anyone felt the same, or whether I'm just being a little bit dim? :meh:

I didn't vote. Firstly because of the reason you listed Bibbity. I don't know what any candidates stand for. Secondly, I forgot :o But in all fairness, if I thought there was anyone worth voting for, I wouldn't have forgot.
I wouldn't like to vote for the sake of voting, and then find out I'd helped some idiot win the election, when I don't agree with their policies.
