need help and advice

need help and advice
  hi there,
im more of a lurker than a poster on here, but need some help and advice.
i LOVE clothes and fashion, but due to some financial restrictions ( running my own business ) i dont have nearly as much disposable income as i did a year ago.
basically i have a wardrobe full of clothes that i dont really want to get rid of but i feel some of them may be a bit outdated, what should i keep and what should i give to charity
1. gypsy skirts ( love these)
2. embellished tunics
3. wedge heels
4. fitted shirts
Also feel that everything i wear is old and needs replacing and since im nearer 40 than 30 i should maybe dress a bit more mature
also need some ideas for some cheap places and some key items i should get for this year.
Am having a bit of a down moment and need some support
Thanks in advance
Rachel

Dont be down! Your starting a new business which can be really exciting :)
Personally i would ditch the gypsy skirts and embellished tunics, and keep the wedges and fitted shirts as they are more "in" at the moment but you say you really like the skirts so if you like em, then keep em! theyd be great for summer if you update them with some new accessorises maybe.
Theres some great shops out there if you on a budget such a primark, which is great for basics and peacocks have some nice stuff too and theyre both really well priced.
another idea is to buy some accessorises/shoes to update the stuff you've already got.....places like barratts do reasonably priced shoes and primark and peacocks have some nice accessorises.
so do accessorise if you feel like splashing out a bit more.
wedges are huge this year and you already have some of those so i dont think the situation is as bad as you think :yay:
hope you feel better about things soon and hope this has helped in some way lol

This is EXACTLY what I was going to say :D Definitely get yourself down to Primark or Peacocks if you're near one, and also Asda and Tesco have been doing some gorgeous clothing ranges recently, I fell in love with a gorgeous tan here in Tesco recently, and I think some baggers have been singing the praises of their plain vest tops for £2 which can be dressed up with accessories e.g nice beads and a nice little cardi over the top! This looks nice on any age.
Good luck with the business, and like Dolly says, don't be down - it's really exciting! Hope you feel better soon!

Personally i wouldn't keep the gypsy skirts but if you love them then do so!
The embellished tunics can be team with skinny jeans and the wedges you already own so i'd keep them.
Same goes for the shirts, but team it with a waist belt maybe? Or if you have some ribbon around use that instead!
So basically i'd get some skinny jeans because they will update the things you have. Then if you are on a budget get some simple wide strapped vests (kate vests) and buy some cheap accessories to dress them up. There's loads of lovely necklaces and earrings around at the mo in the high street stores :)

thanks so much for your reply, think im just having a "s***e" day today and where as i used to be able to go out and buy myself something nice to cheer myself up, i cant do that anymore.
will have a look in peacocks and primark in the near future.
Thanks again for your reply
